A FUN day of medieval music and dance awaits at the Almonry in Evesham.

To celebrate its 60th birthday Evesham’s museum and heritage centre will host the likes of Gloriana and Musyck Anon to entertain visitors with music and dance from the late medieval to late Stuart periods.

The event will be a truly time-transporting day as the performers will also be suited out in full period costume.

From midday, Gloriana will be wowing the crowd with three performances and a chance to meet and chat with the group members.

You can learn more about medieval medicines and cures from the Wise Woman and get a chance to dance along with the performers as well.

Normal admission prices apply but entry tickets lasts for a year, giving you plenty more opportunities to explore the museum.

Later, Musyck Anon will perform at a concert held in the Almonry Lecture Hall in the evening, with highlights including ‘Sumer is incumen in’ and ‘Now O now our needs must part’.

Tickets are £5 and available at the Almonry while complimentary drinks will be served at the interval.
