A KIDDERMINSTER man has been jailed after he was found in possession of indecent images of children.
Charles Cooper-Burge, 26, of Felix Baxter Drive, was convicted on May 22, after he pleaded guilty to six counts of making an indecent image of a child and two counts of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
He was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment on June 16, at Worcester Crown Court.
He has also been put on the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period and given a sexual harm prevention order.
DC James Griffin from West Mercia Police said: “Despite his guilty plea, Cooper-Burge has absolutely no regard for the suffering of the children in the images he downloaded.
“West Mercia Police and the Operation Safenet team are committed to tracking down and bringing to justice those who seek to obtain this kind of material.”
