INTREPID staff from a Stourport computer firm took on a daring mountain climbing challenge in aid of a cancer-stricken colleague.

The team of 10 from OGL Computer Services Group, based on Worcester Road, scaled Mount Snowdon to raise funds for their work mate Emma Selby-Pugh.

They had set themselves a target of raising £1,000 but have smashed that and currently have more than £1,800 in the fund.

Emma, who is senior credit control assistant at OGL, is currently battling cancer and her colleagues wanted to raise the cash to enable her and her family to go on a memorable family holiday.

After completing the climb, organiser and OGL’s 1st line software support advisor, said: “I am so pleased and proud of what the team have achieved.

“The walk pushed us to our limits but the thought of helping Emma and her family kept us all going.”

Fellow team member and software operations manager at OGL, Charlie Grant added: “We couldn’t have picked a hotter day but the views were amazing when we reached the top and we had a great team spirit which ensured that no one got left behind.”

The team’s Just Giving page is still open for anyone who wishes to donate or find out more about the climb. It can be accessed by visiting www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/oglsnowdonclimb.
