A BRIGHT but very cold start characterised by severe frost, ice and freezing fog patches, which will be slow to clear.
Skies will become cloudier through the afternoon, but temperatures are only likely to reach as high as 1°C but it will remain dry.
As the evening draws in, the breeze will pick up while rain will spread eastwards through the first part of the night, with some ice forming over existing snow cover.
The temperatures could reach lows of -4 °C.
