GALLERY and interior design store Persora has secured its first contract to provide interior solutions, furnishings and art for a recently launched multi-million pound residential redevelopment of a site at Stone, Kidderminster.

The company, which is based in High Street, Pershore, only opened in the autumn of last year following six months of restoration work to the large Grade II Listed property which is now its home.

Managing director Sasha Hyde said: “Given our knowledge of the construction and development industry - including our key contacts at some of the UK’s largest housing developers - our showhome market strategy was always a key focus of growth for our business. We can tie in our knowledge of the built environment combining it with our buying power to achieve the very best results for our clients in terms of value management while providing a unique interior design solution.”

The development, to be called Manor Court, lies in the old grounds of the luxury Stone Manor Hotel. Developers Trinity Southgate are creating eight cottages set in mature landscaping. The homes, converted from original outbuildings, providing a contemporary twist with many of the original features being retained and lie in a secure gated environment.

The original Stone Manor sat in the estate grounds for many years and dated back to the Doomsday Book, but the magnificent building was destroyed by fire. In 1926, James Culcheth Hill rebuilt the current Tudor styled Stone Manor as his private dwelling with many of the timber structures reclaimed from HMS Arethusa, the last fighting "Man o' War” to go into battle under sail.
