THE glorious grounds of Coughton Court will once again hold an annual summer fete.

The village’s sixth fete takes place on the lawn of the Grade I listed National Trust site on Saturday, July 8, from noon until 4pm.

Visitors will be able to browse a selection of stalls from gifts and crafts, as well as activities including guessing games and a miniature garden competition.

Organiser Claire Hancox said: “It’s fantastic to have such a great relationship with the Coughton community and to be able to host the annual village fete for the sixth year.

“So far a fantastic £5746 has been raised and put towards projects at Coughton Primary School, Sambourne Cemetery and the ford area.

“As well as being a great cause, it’s an opportunity for us all to get together and share a fun day out and this year we look forward to challenging you to a game of tug of war after a whole host of sports day fun.”

Entrance to the fete and gardens is free.

The Coach House Shop will be open to sell gifts and treats and the restaurant will serve a hot lunch, a cream tea or a traditional ice cream.
