THE annual Lights of Love campaign is returning to Bromsgrove, Redditch and Rubery for a milestone 20th year, to help remember loved ones this Christmas.

Primrose Hospice is inviting everyone, not just those touched by hospice care, to take part in their special campaign in remembrance of those who are no longer with us.

Fundraising manager Emma Williams said: “Lights of Love is a very special campaign for us at Primrose.

“It’s an opportunity for family and friends to remember a loved one by dedicating a light to them on one of our Christmas trees in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Rubery.

“Their names are placed in remembrance books around our trees for family and friends to visit throughout the festive season.

“In return, we ask for a donation to Primrose Hospice, allowing the hospice to continue its vital work.”

Remembrance book dedications can be viewed in Bromsgrove at the Methodist Church and outside Asda on Market Street from November 18; in Redditch at the Kingfisher Centre, the Crematorium and branches of Thomas and Brothers Funeral Directors from November 19; and on the information board in Rubery’s High Street from November 26.

Emma added: “We support patients living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families and the hospice has to raise over £1.75 million per year, in order to continue to provide essential services free of charge.

“Each year, the Lights of Love appeal is hugely successful in raising these crucial funds.”

Primrose Hospice are also encouraging people to attend one of the remembrance services taking place across the county throughout November.

The services are being held at the Methodist Church, Bromsgrove on November 18 at 3.30pm; St Stephen’s Church, Redditch, on November 19 at 2pm; and Beacon Church Centre, Rubery, on November 26 at 4pm.
