A KIND-hearted Redditch woman is going a cut above for charity by having eight inches of hair chopped off for the Little Princess Trust.

Amelia Wills, 21, hopes to raise enough money for the charity to make a wig for one young person who loses their hair through cancer and other illnesses.

The Birmingham City University student said: “It costs the charity roughly between £350- £500 to make each wig so if I could reach that it would be amazing.

“I love my long hair and it will be quite a shock to chop off almost all of it off, since I’ve been growing it since I was 16.

“I am fortunate enough that my hair will continue to grow and so would love to donate it to help a child who does not have that luxury.”

She will have her haircut at Signature Hair Design on Wednesday, March 14.
