TWO big events – the Royal Wedding and the FA Cup final – will be screened at a family fun day at Alvechurch Football Club.
The club, based at Lye Meadow on Redditch Road, will add in a third celebration after securing promotion from the EVO-Stick Division One South at the end of April.
Five-a-side competitions, races, penalty-shoot outs, a bouncy castle, stalls, face painting, music and food will all be available at the event on May 19 from 1pm until 5pm.
Committee member Fred Evans said: “We would like to put something back into the community, and are inviting any local charity or community organisation - such as scouts, guides, and schools - to set up a stall at the fun day and hopefully make some money for their organizations.”
Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle takes place at 12pm, so visitors can arrive early to catch the festivities.
The FA Cup final kicks off at 5.15pm and visitors are invited to stay and watch.
Admission is free. Anyone wishing to set up a stall can contact Fred on 07970824986.
