A SPECTACULAR new air festival is flying into the famous grounds of Ragley Hall this weekend.

The Midlands Air Festival is being held in the stunning grounds of the estate from Friday, May 18, to Sunday, May 20.

Over the weekend there will be up to 60 classic rainbow coloured round balloons from all over the UK taking to the skies.

The Festival will also incorporate our unique Nightfire event on Friday, with night time aerobatics, pyrotechnics and fireworks, leading into a mass balloon nightglow and flames choreographed and set to music.

A statement on the festival's website said: "This is a spectacular new aviation event for the midlands, featuring a wonderful array of virtually every type of aviation.

"These special shapes are massive character balloons and are coming from all over the world.

"Several of them have never been seen flying in the UK including from New Zealand, IWI the KIWI and from the USA Angry Birds and from Star Wars the amazing Yoda balloon, plus some of our European shapes too."

There will also be refreshments, exhibitors and attractions including Battlefield South’s Commando laser shooting experience.

The Royal Wedding will be shown on a big screen on Saturday, and the FA Cup final will also be played.

Tickets for all three days are on sale now on advance purchase from info@midlandsairfestival.com or midlandsairfestival.com.
