THREE dogs have been rehomed after being brought over from Greece.

The Jordan Bear Charity, based in Droitwich, hopes to rehome more than a dozen unloved pooches brought over from Hector House rescue centre in Crete.

More than 20 people visited during an open day on Wednesday June 7 wanting to rehome the dogs.

Allan Jones of the charity said: "The quality of the applicants - and the homes offered - was exceptionally high and, as a result, we were able to place the three girls, with three young families, for their 14 day probationary periods.

"Two of the girls, Barbara and Blaize, have since been successfully signed over to their new 'forever' homes - Barbara to a lovely young family in Droitwich and Blaize to an equally lovely family in Claines.

"Benita is expected to be signed over toward the end of this coming week."

"The response has been so good, and the choice between applicants so difficult, that we now have really good homes waiting for further dogs."

Once the dogs safely arrive in Droitwich, staff at Jordan Bear get to work rehabilitating them and preparing them for life with a new family.

The charity are hoping for donations of Bakers Young Dog Complete Dry Food, bedding, towels, flea and worm treatments, leads and collars.
