EACH year the Rotary Club of North Worcestershire organises a charity golf day at Blackwell Golf Club. This year they succeeded in raising nearly £6,000, the majority of which will go to two charities being theNSPCCand Brace, together with a number of smaller local charities.
Forty five golfers participated in the competition.
The team with the highest stableford score was Jonathan Thompson and Eric Collington. A large number of local companies helped sponsor the day many also having donated prizes for a raffle and auction held at the dinner following the competition. The Rotary Club of North Worcestershire has 30 members.
We meet every Tuesday evening at Droitwich Golf Club. We have a very varied programme including talks from outside speakers, visits to business and community establishments, organise youth competitions for local schools and raise funds for localandinternational charities.
