MEMBERS of the Bromsgrove branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A) were entertained by Alison Snowdon with her talk life on the auction floor. Her life is certainly very varied and she was able to demonstrate some of the interesting pieces that she has witnessed in her seven years onthe auctionfloor.Shealsowasable tocomment and value various items that the members had brought along for appraisal.
The Bromsgrove U3A membership comprises of retired people from all walks of life and there are up to 40 separate specialist groups to cater for members’ interests. One of those is photography where the leader finds a suitable location in the local area where members can then snap away to their heart’s content amid plenty of advice and guidance. This is in addition to on-going projects, which is currently windows, portraits and multicolours.
