President Jenny Marsh welcomed members to the October meeting.

She thanked Gill Wilson for the lovely autumnal flowers and also Phyl Healey and Val Pedler for organising the tea.

Amongst the large amount of correspondence, members weretold of the meetingon26th November at the Sacred Heart Church Hall regarding talks anddebateonthe proposed resolutions to include an Environmental Tax on bottled drinking water and a national vaccination programme against meningitis B.

The Christmas carol service atWorcesterCathedralonSunday December 8 will include three members from Hadzor and Oddingley in the WI Choir.

Members were also given details of a Jewellery Day at Hartlebury on November 9 and a Christmas Craft Day on November 26.

Val Pedler then gave a report on our very successful outing to Stratford on Avon attended by 13 members where we were given a back stage tour of the new theatre, had an opportunity to view the costume displays and also to climb to the top of the tower to admire the views over Stratford.

Judy Lee reminded members of the forthcoming walk around Leasowes Park on Monday 14th October to be guided by our member Anna Coward, a former park warden there.

Agendas were handed out to 10 of our members who will be attending the Annual Council meeting and also details of the pick up points for those going on the Chatsworth trip in November.

The next coffee morning would be at Evesham Country Park on November 14 at 10.30am.

There being no other business, Jenny Marsh introduced our speaker the Rev Peter Holzapfel who once again entertained us with his hilarious stories and poetic readings as well as sharing with us some of his many beautiful photographs.

Pamela Griffin gave the vote of thanks and both the raffle and competition were won by Ann Oakes. Very welcometeaandbiscuits ended the afternoon.
