MARY thanked everyone for coming out on such a dreadful night – she expected a low turn-out but in fact many of the regular members turned up.

Jerusalem was sung, apologies and the minutes of the previous meeting were read out.

Angie was hosting a table at this meeting for unwanted gifts. There were a lot of nice things and members were interested in seeing what they could buy.

The annual meal is booked at The Gate in Bournheath tonight at 7.30 pm. At a cost of £17.00 for three courses.

The group meeting is in Fairfield on Thursday, March 27. We are to provide refreshments and a raffle prize.

Mary gave the sad news that Esme Lees had died. She had been a long-standing member of the WI and we all send our condolences to her family.

The Centenary Baton will be going through Hagley, Bromsgrove, and Weatheroak on September 15. It would be nice if members can be out to support this.

Anne Griffin said the produce show arrangements were going very well and she was glad to announce that there are three new members on the committee and also several new ideas for this years show. The next meeting is at her house on February 25.

Our speaker for the evening was Pam Pinkerton who was going to talk about Indian massage
