ARE you semi-retired, retired or planning to retire in the near future and wondering what you will do with your time?

Perhaps by joining us you will find a number of ways in which you can work at living.

The purpose of the club is to provide regular opportunities for retired professionals and businessmen to meet socially and share common interests.

By offering a variety of weekly and monthly leisure activities that focus on social comradeship and friendly involvement, the club will provide an opportunity to meet and interact with your peers.

Weekly activities include bowls at Sanders Park (in summer), snooker and golf.

Monthly walks in the local area are organised, the computer club meets to share experiences on and off line and we have a pub lunch to which partners are invited.

During the next few months a number of outings and events are planned including a “Behind the scenes visit to Birmingham Hippodrome”, a coach trip to Gloucester Docks and a Summer Strawberry Tea all of which are open to partners. A members’ meeting is held at the Avoncroft Arts Centre on the third Wednesday of each month from10.00am to noon. In addition to reports from the various activity groups there is a refreshment break to enable members to chat with colleagues followed by an entertaining talk presented by a guest speaker. There are a wide variety of topics with forthcoming talks including “The Real Dad’s Army”; “An Actor’s Life for Me” and “Zimbabwe Safari”.

If you feel you would like to “try before you buy” then come along to a meeting, meet the members and see why the Bromsgrove (1982) Probus Group could be for you.
