PHOTOGRAPHER Adrian James was the speaker at the March meeting. Adrian has taken photographs in different parts of the world but on this occasion, shared photographs of somewhere much closer to home, namely Bodenham Arboretum which covers 156 acres, has 11 pools, 4 miles of paths to walk, 3000 trees and was only created in 1979. It is also a working farm with donkeys, sheep and geese.

He talked the group through the seasons starting with winter and the childrens’ Christmas nativity trail and photos of wonderful snowy scenes, then he took the group into spring with about 1000 daffodils, blossom, plants coming into bud and bluebells in the woodland area.

The Laburnum tunnel took the group into summer and up to the gazebo which has stained glass windows of items at the Arboretum.

Finally the group saw the beautiful autumn colours in the trees and plants.

It was interesting to follow one aspect with a photograph taken at each time of the year so the changes could be seen more easily.

The group meet at 7.30pm on the third Thursday of each month at the Methodist Church Hall, Worcester Road.

New members, as always, are always welcome.
