A Bromsgrove motor sport enthusiast has been appointed council chairman of the national British Trial and Rally Drivers Association, (BTRDA).
Sixty-two-yea- old Steve Layton, who lives in Catshill, succeeds Mike Sones, from Staffordshire, who is well-known to club motor sport enthusiasts.
Steve is now looking forward to the new challenge of not only being chairman of BTRDA but also long-standing chairman of the local Hagley and District Light Car Club.
His involvement with the BTRDA started in the mid 1970s.
