ON September 13, in the evening, Studley Village Hall was bursting at the seams with activity.
The event, organised and hosted by Studley Daytime WI, was a live transmission from the Royal Albert Hall, the Last Night of the Proms.
Tickets were sold out, the hall was decorated with flags, bunting and balloons, the folks donned their red, white and blue and after a supper of fish and chips, followed by a cheesecake dessert, they waved flags, sang along with the music and generally had a really good time. This great event will probably be repeated next year.
