PAUL Smith and Melanie Stone were married at the Saunton Sands Hotel, Saunton, north Devon.

Paul is the son of David and Miranda Smith, of Blackwell, near Bromsgrove, while Melanie is the daughter of Chris and Kathy Stone, of the White Horse Inn, Winterbourne Bassett, near Swindon.

Paul had his brother Luke as bestman and four friends as ushers – James, Rupert, Andrew and Oliver.

Melanie had four close friends as bridesmaids – Sophie, Rachel, Lucy and Laura, together with her close friend James, who was man of honour and travelled from New Zealand especially for the wedding.

Paul and Melanie met in Australia while on a gap year.

They honeymooned on Hamiliton Island for a few days then travelled to Noosa where they met and it all began.
