Teenage driver injured in crash


A TEENAGE driver suffered spinal injuries after his car left a road in Hereford.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Saint Owens Cross, shortly after 7.30am on Sunday.

A BASICS Doctor from the Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a badly damaged car. Its driver, a man in his late teens, was assessed at the scene and found to have spinal injuries. He was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and was airlifted to Bristol’s Frenchay Hospital.”
