Brothel trial adjourned - court
The trial of a Chinese takeaway boss accused of running a brothel in Worcester and others in the Black Country has been adjourned and will resume on Monday.
Defence barrister Thomas Mackinnon submitted that it would be fairer to 39-year-old Fei Zhang if he could give his entire evidence uninterrupted by the weekend.
The prosecution has finished its case against Zhang, who lives in Barking, Essex.
He denies conspiracy to traffic for the sex trade and also conspiracy to control prostitution.
The allegation is that he operated brothels disguised behind the facade of massage parlours and escort agencies.
Police raided a flat in Broad Street, Worcester, on March 21 last year and there were simultaneous raids on properties in Kingswinford Road, Dudley, Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, and Darlaston Road, Walsall.
