YOUNGSTERS at Hindlip First School, near Worcester, have been presented with vouchers after taking part in a countywide competition.
The pupils were among a number of children to take part in Worcestershire County Council's art contest. They were asked to draw pictures about things which mattered to them and what they would like to change.
The youngsters' pictures covered a range of subjects, including using pedestrian crossings to improve road safety, recycling schemes, skateboard parks and ways to stop bullying.
Councillor Liz Eyre, cabinet member for children and young people, presented a £20 WH Smith voucher to each of the winning children and certificates to all those who entered the competition. The pupils at Hindlip were among 40 children to be rewarded for their entries.
All of the pictures will now form part of the public consultation the council is organising about the new Children and Young People's Plan, which is to be launched on Wednesday, May 14. The winning entries were chosen by the Worcestershire Youth Cabinet.
