Quad bike theft witnesses sought

QUAD bikes worth thousands of pounds have been stolen from a business park in Stourport.

Police are appealing for information about the burglary where a trailer and the bikes were stolen from the Chadwick Bank business park.

The incident happened at around 9pm on Wednesday, April 30.

Stolen were a Polaris silver quad bike worth £2,000, a red Honda quad bike worth £1,000, a light blue Yamaha quad bike worth £500, and a light green Kowasaki quad bike worth £1,000.

The trailer was a 16ft (4.8m) silver Ifor Williams flatbed trailer worth £2,000 which is described as being unusual in that the wheels were painted black in the middle.

It has the registration number J5 CTP.

The blue Yamaha quad bike was found abandoned nearby at the junction of Hartlebury Road and Worcester Road, Stourport, at 9.20pm and is thought to have fallen off the trailer as it went round the island.

A 4x4 would have been used to tow the trailer, and at least two or three people would have been needed to lift the quad bikes.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Jon Harris at Stourport Police on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
