Do your bit for the Burmese

CURRY-lovers are being invited to eat and help raise money for the victims of the cyclone disaster in Burma at the same time.

Abdul's on The Tything, Barbourne, Worcester, is offering people the chance to eat a four course meal for the price of £7.95 between 6pm and 10pm on Sunday and Monday evening.

All of that money will be sent to Burma to help those affected by the disaster which has killed more than 22,000 people with fears that figure could rise to 100,000.

Manager Nazrul Islam said he will also be donating £2.50 from every delivery made on those two nights to the fund.

"Burma is a very special community and we as a community in Worcester should help the people who have been devastated and lost their lives," he said.

"I come from Bangladesh and there was a cyclone there last year so it's very important for me to do this kind of event for the people."

To book a table call 01905 723594.
