"Standards, dear boy - standards!"

It's the decline and fall of the English language.

Keeping up standards is much harder than letting them slide - and us English are basically lazy!

It's not called "the English disease" for nothing, you know.

Take only one simple example - why have we let virtually all our manufacturing business go abroad, without so much as a wimper?

I feel very sad to witness this decline - especially after the huge effort we made to win the last war.

All for nothing, it seems - the Germans now rule us, by proxy and Frankfurt, anyway!
