I WOULD just like to say how disappointed we were with this year’s Remembrance Sunday parade in the town.

TheSalvationArmyband stood in the road, crowds were around the bus stop by the memorial blocking the view of some people, the singers were also stood in front of people including several children, who I would have thought should be the ones we teach to remember.

Once the local dignitary big wigs had their names called and wreaths laid, the smaller groupswhichhadtaken the effort to lay a wreath were not even mentioned.

To top it off we were pushed aside so twoclergymencouldwalkpast with the cross when there was lots of room just a couple of feet to the one side.

Why can’t the bandstand be used for the band and singers and the main area of the memorial fenced off, with all groups laying wreaths mentioned?
