THE Basement Project, which helps people aged 16 to 25 who are either homeless or facing homeless-related and other issues, were given permission to collect food outside ASDA.
Our trolley was continuously being filled by shoppers and sorted throughout the day by volunteers, staff and young people who attend the Basement Drop-In Service.
We were amazed and excited by the generosity of Bromsgrove folk.
In the end, we had a total of 30 fruit boxes which were filled to the brim with goodies ready to be assembled into hampers to bring Christmas cheer to many who would otherwise go short. Many thanks to all who gave so generously and to ASDA for giving us the opportunity to collect.
