I LIVE at the top of Barley Mow Lane and recently had notification from Worcestershire Highways that flood alleviation works were to be carried out by my house.
The work was carried out a few weeks ago and the road surface was left in a very rough way, with a channel having been cut out along the centre of the road, but only filled in smoothly for part of the way. The rest of the channel is ragged and full of loose chippings, some of which are the size of a walnut.I have complained to Worcestershire Highways, but the road is still in the same condition and so I thought I would just share this so, should similar work be carried out, residents will be alerted to the potential problems.
