I AM writing with regard to the appalling state of St Mary’s cemetery, Droitwich, where my mother is buried.
The grounds are overgrown, it is covered in dog faeces, there are empty beer cans strewn across it, and on more than one occasion the ground has been scorched where fires have been lit.
Nobody appears to be maintaining the cemetery and it is worrying that people are using the area at night.
It is upsetting to think people could be so callous. I doubt they would want the final resting place of their loved ones to be treated in this way.
Please could I urge people to keep a lookout for suspicious activity in the area at night.
