YOUR recent front page story outlining the proposed huge cut in council support to Artrix is a body blow to Bromsgrove.
Its diverse programme is a great example of “culture for all” – the phrase espoused by Bromsgrove’s MP Sajid Javid when he became Culture Secretary last year.
So why have we not heard anything from him now that this success story is under threat? The people of Bromsgrove cannot rely on their Conservative MP to defend Artrix because he is committed to sweeping public spending cuts born out of ideological zeal rather than economic reality. Bromsgrove deserves better; at least this May we can express this need for change via the ballot box.
