I AM amazed and disgusted by the audacity of the developers of the Copcut site in Droitwich.

There was great outcry in the town when this site and the one at Yew Tree Hill was proposed. The local feeling was that the increased traffic caused by these two developments would be excessive for the infrastructure. At the appeal held in the Chateau Impney in the spring of last year, great play was made by the legal team for the devel - opers that the necessary traffic improvements at the junction of the A38 and Salwarpe Lane would be carried out before the building commenced. Now we hear that they want to complete and occupy 150 houses before these improvements are started.

So do they think potentially 300 extra carson the main road won`t make any difference? What planet are they living on? Do they take the local population as fools?

Only last week the M5 was closed between junctions five and six with the traffic being diverted along that stretch of the A38, and this happens frequently.

We can only hope that the local district council and the county council stand up to them and reject this proposes change in the conditions of the development. But again I don`t have much faith in that as I feel we were let down by the council when these two sites were first proposed. I do hope your paper will contin - ue to expose these greedy developers for what they are.
