I’D like to thank all those who gave so generously to the collection for the Nepal Earthquake Disaster Appeal, organised by the Rotary Club of North Worcestershire on the High Street in Bromsgrove on Saturday, May 9.
The collection raised £620 on the day with further donations still trickling in.
North Worcestershire Rotary has pledged its support to help victims with long-term support, which will provide for sustainable community projects once the immediate emergency has been dealt with.
The Rotary Club members also agreed to give an immediate donation of £1,000 out of its own club trust fund to Shelterbox and Water Survival Box to help families in need of emergency shelter and vital supplies.
We would also like to thank Roger Munn, Bromsgrove’s Market Superintendent for his help in organising this and providing us with such a good spot on the day from which to operate.
