LIKE many of your readers I have been shocked by the news which recently emerged from the Alex.
The fact that the situation at the hospital has reached such a low that four consultants would think the best way forward is to stage a mass resignation really does beggar belief.
The management’s response – issuing job adverts as if it filling a few normal vacancies – has been woefully inadequate.
How do they plan to get four new consultants in in such a short period of time?
What do they plan to do if the vacancies are not filled? How do they plan to ensure that the Alex continues to serve the people of Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas as well as it has done up to now?
I know people have a lot of questions about what is going on at the Alex – and they have a right to the answers.
