read recently that this is a bumper years for wasps and hornets.
Indeed my colleagues and I have been plagued at work by hornets for the last few days dive-bombing us. I cannot bring myself to kill any animal, regardless of reputation, so I looked up information on the internet about these winged beasts and discovered that they aren’t actually so grumpy at all. There was a reason for their behaviour.
I urge everyone to use knowledge as a way of dispelling their fear before swatting them into the insect afterlife. This is goes for bees too – hugely important for our human existence. We don’t live in Australia – not everything is trying to kill us.
