I have just returned home from helping run a stall at the Bromsgrove Carnival and through your page I would like to say a huge thank you to the organisers of this year’s carnival.

I was incredibly sad when the carnival stopped two years ago and thought that the town had lost a tradition.  It was therefore great today to see this event back in force.

The new trolley procession looked good and local people turned out to support the stalls and events.

Thank you to all who supported our bottle tombola, which has helped to increase our funds for scouting.

I know that there will have been a huge amount of work that has gone into this weekend’s events and I hope that that the event organisers can reflect on the fact that it is a job well done and be ready to come back and do it all again next year.

And let’s hope next year that even more people turn out to support an event that Bromsgrove should be proud of.
