Allotment thanks

May we, through the columns of your newspaper, say a big thank you to everyone who helped to make The Leys Allotments annual flower and vegetable show such a success.

We would especially like to mention our sponsors Rubery Building Supplies and Beechcroft Nurseries and Garden Centre, our section sponsors, Singletons, Gordon Jones Solicitors and Kennedys Mica Hardware, Webbs of Wychbold and all the Rubery traders for their generous donations.

Thanks also to Rubery Social Club for the use of their function room and to their members for taking part in the evening auction. Also to everyone involved in putting on the art exhibition. Of course, we must not forget the volunteers, exhibitors, judges and everyone who came to see the show.

All the money raised will be divided between The Challenge Stroke Group and Rubery Old Folks Entertainment Fund and this will be donated to them at our presentation later in the year.

Once again, thank you to everyone.
