THE miserable weather did nothing to stop us from enjoying an interesting talk from Meg Farmer, a foster carer of many years. She told us many tales which were amusing, sad, thought provoking and inspiring. She was a truly wonderful and caring lady.
We discussed our upcoming quiz night and the Christmas fair on December 1, hoping that we will have lots of hand-made items created over the summer by the talented ladies in our group. We took a vote on which local charity would receive a donation from the proceeds and Primrose Hospice will be the recipient. The winner of the competition was Jenny with a cute toy. For the September meeting we will be welcoming Brenda Killigrew who will tell us about All Aspects of Lingerie. We meet on the second Tuesday in the month at 7.30pm at Finstall Village Hall.
