DROITWICH Dolphins came up against strong opposition as they hosted the first of three Arena League Galas and did well to finish fourth.
Teams from Abingdon, Birmingham and Pershore arrived at Droitwich Leisure Centry all vying for top spot which resulted in a very exciting first gala.
The evening started really well with Ruth Hadley claiming victory in the first race for the girls in the open medley followed up with a great second place for Sam Cave in the same event for the boys.
Hadley also managed another two first places during the evening in the under-15s backstroke and the open breaststroke.
The boys under-15s all swam brilliantly and out of a maximum of 24 points they managed to score 22.
There were first places in both the freestyle and medley relays, with wins for Aaron Biddle (backstroke) and Thomas Dean (butterfly).
Another victory came in the under-15s girls freestyle relay, which was swam by Rebecca Hadley, Rachel Bradley, Juliet Mourino and Hadley.
