Droitwich 11, Bedworth 5
DROITWICH gave their hopes of escaping relegation from the Midlands Division Two West (South) a boost as they saw off their fellow strugglers.
The conditions made rugby very difficult, with Droitwich initially playing to their strengths using big forwards James Thomas and Ross Midgely.
Tom Richards was on hand to power over and give the home side the lead.
Bedworth did come back strongly, and after a series of scrums near the Droitwich line crashed over to level the scores. Tom Wormington scored two penalties to make sure of victory.
Spa are second from bottom but level on points with Dunlop. They entertain Stourbridge Lions on Saturday (2.15pm ko).
