THERE was team success for the women of Bromsgrove and Redditch AC at the Gloucester Cross Country League.

Sally Hogan, Tamara Ball and Katy Anderson, who finished fourth, eighth and 11th respectively in the individual placings, were the highest ranked trio out of 26 teams.

The veterans team of Mel Hepke (25th), Charlotte Ball (36th) and Sarah Richardson (41st) were fifth out of 17 teams which was enough to hold on to third place in their age competition.

Orianna Ball (35th) and Jane Anderson (47th) also competed.

There were overall league awards for Hogan (3rd, U20), Hepke (3rd, V40) and Charlotte Ball (3rd, V50) but the eye-catching result was Tamara Ball moving up from sixth to be senior women’s league champion.

The men’s team of Andy Freeman (39th), Gavin Moorhead (59th), Ian Keyte (67th), Stephen Brooks (68th), Dean Hartshorne (78th) and Phil Anderson (116th) were ninth.
