BROMSGROVE entertain out-of-form Preston Grasshoppers as they look to kick start their survival bid in the National Two North (2.15pm kick-off).

The relegation-battling side face a Grasshoppers outfit who have lost nine out of 10 league games.

While the Boars are also struggling for form, they have produced some improving displays against Dudley Kingswinford, Harrogate and Caldy.

Head coach Ross Baxter said: “It won’t be an easy game, Preston always make it very hard.

“Our record against them is pretty poor to be honest. In five games we’ve never beaten them and drawn one match.

“But a win now would give the club a big boost and help our survival chances.

“We’ve eight games left and we can still avoid going down.

“If we can build on the last few performances and also take our opportunities we’ve got a chance.

“Preston started the season really well but they’ve had a bad run and got themselves in a rut.”

Bromsgrove are second from bottom and are 13 points away from safety.

Jon Critchlow, Tom Hardwicke and Sam Atkins are set to return from injury to boost the Finstall Park outfit.

Former Bromsgrove School pupil Elliott Davies has joined the club on loan from Worcester Academy.
