BROMSGROVE secured promotion to the West Midlands Premier with a 9-5 win over bottom side Bloxwich.

Victory ensured second place for the Boars, who were missing midfielder Tom Green.

After falling behind, Fraser Mack equalised.

Bromsgrove then scored three goals in a devastating ten minutes spell.

Matt Russell’s neatly disguised pass enabled Jake Bubbles to power in a second, then Veit Wassefuhr added a goal of his own with a typically neat finish and Anton Sieg fired in a penalty corner to put Bromsgrove 4-1 up.

Bloxwich pulled one back but Jake Bubbles and Anton Sieg (2) got the hosts back on track.

The visitors got in on the scoring act but Wasserfuhr added his second and Tom Jennings scored to complete the rout.

Meanwhile, Laurence Shah hands over the role as skipper to Bevan Edwards.
