CHADDESLEY Corbett suffered their second defeat of the season as they went down to Harborne by 31 runs in Worcestershire Division Three.

Corbett's batsmen struggled with the table-toppers.

Harborne had won the toss and opted to bat first but they were kept to 137 all out in the 49th over.

Muhammad Saddiq continued to be Chaddesley's most effective bowler as he took six wickets for 30 runs.

Waqur Ahmad (2-29), Chris Mole (1-43) and Shahed Zia (1-28) took the rest of the wickets.

But Corbett's reply was hit hard when they lost Nigel Middleton (14), Joe Lawton (0) and Mohammed Ramzan (6) early on to find themselves 24-3.

Chris Mole (22) Saddiq (22) steadied the ship but once they were both dismissed by Mhuahhad Tausif, Corbett never recovered and were dismissed for 106.

Meanwhile, Avoncroft were edged out by Old Vigornians by 11 runs.

Croft won the toss and put their opponents into bat and they made 189 all out, with Azmat Riaz (60), Isman Fiaz (33) and Alex Parker (36) scoring Vigs' runs.

In reply, Matt Hare (33) got Croft off to a good start but they struggled after he was dismissed by Alex Parker.
