FAIRFIELD Villa went goal crazy in the Midland Football League Division Two as they hammered Kenilworth Town 8-2 on Saturday.

Hat-tricks for red-hot strikers John Pykett and Connor Collins as well as a brace for Chris Pratt tore the Warwickshire side apart.

Between them, the deadly duo have scored nine goals in Villa’s first two league games.

Joint manager Paul Oakes said: “Kenilworth were bit of an unknown quantity for us, so I was pleased to see how well we played.

“The game was over after 17 minutes as we were 4-0 up.

“John and Connor have just clicked and it’s great to see.”

Villa now go to league rivals Feckenham on Saturday (3pm ko) missing nine players, with the likes of Andy Cook, Ryan Molesworth and Craig Mole on holiday.

Feckenham are one place below Fairfield in third place on goal difference and they are managed by former Fairfield player Craig Frampton, who is affectionately known as ‘Chip’.

Oakes said: “Craig is another good young manager who has a very good team. We’re missing nine players but luckily we can bring in lads from the reserves and there are a lot of good lads.”
