FAIRFIELD Villa will aim to get back on track when they tackle Coton Green at home in the Les James Charity Cup on Saturday (3pm ko).

The Recreation Ground outfit have lost three games in a row in Midlands Football League Division Two, with their latest result a 5-1 defeat to Aston on Saturday.

Villa have been hit hard by a number of absences in recent weeks. These have included experienced goalkeeper Neil Leach, Ben Smith, Steve Frost and Andy Cook .

Cook and Smith, however, are set to return for Saturday’s home game.

Joint manager Paul Oakes said: “We lost to Barnt Green but they looked a good side and we thought it was just a blip.

“The loss to Coton came from a flukey goal but the performance against Aston was apathetic. We’ve got to get back to basics.

“We’re not a bad side despite three straight defeats.”
