PAUL Smith has warned his Midlands Football League Division One rivals there is more to come from Bromsgrove Sporting.

The Rouslers are on a crest of a wave after three straight wins in the space of eight days.

They followed up victory over Heather St Johns last week by hammering Pelsall Villa 6-0 mid week and edging out Alvis Sporting 2-1 at the Victoria Ground at the weekend.

But Smith feels his side are still settling down.

The manager has re-shaped his squad since arriving a month ago and believes it will take time for his players to gel.

He said: "I am pleased with the results but it's a funny one for me because we can play a lot better.

"The squad has had a few changes and the players are still settling down and it's almost like pre-season.

"I am pleased that we're managing to win games even tough we're not at our best but I hope and expect us to play better.

"The players are a good bunch and they are putting pressure on themselves as well."

Against Alvis, substitute Chris Conway bagged a second half leveller before gifted rookie front runner Sean Brain made it two goals in as many games with a 78th minute winner.

Now Sporting face another test in the FA Vase Second Qualifying Round when they welcome Premier Division Tipton Town to the Victoria Ground on Saturday (3pm ko).

The Black Country outfit have conceded 26 goals in four games and languish second from bottom.

Striker Gary Hay is set to be available after returning from his holiday but defender Scott Smith is a doubt after limping off at the weekend with a bruised foot.

Smith added: "We've played Coleshill Town in the FA Cup and Stourport Swifts in the Vase and forced replays.

"Both those sides are in the upper echelons of Tipton's league, so if we can replicate that form then we've got a good chance of going through."

Sporting have also drafted in Studley's versatile left-sided player Jack Wilson.
