FAIRFIELD Villa’s attacking trinity kept the goals coming as Feckenham were routed 8-2 in the Midlands Division Two on Saturday.

Top-scorer Connor Collins bagged a hat-trick, while Ellis Blakemore (2) and John Pykett also scored during a one-sided clash.

Peter Jenvey and Lewis Cosgrave were also on target in a game where Villa had been pegged back twice to go into the break drawing 2-2.

Victory was achieved despite keeper Aaron Collins suffering concussion after being fouled by a Feckenham forward.

The custodian was taken off as a precaution, with Adam Dyer deputising between the sticks.

Pykett, Collins and Blakemore have scored 37 goals between them this season.

Joint boss Paul Oakes said: “Connor, John and Ellis have really stepped up this season.

“I was worried at the start of the season where the goals would have come from but the lads have done brilliantly.

“As I always say, if we get our strongest team out we are a match for anyone. Richard Deeming and Ben Smith have also been very strong for us.”

Villa entertain bogey side Hampton in the league on Saturday (2pm ko).

Meanwhile, the club have announced they have merged with Bromsgrove and District League champions Victoria Barnt Green.

The new side, Victoria Barnt Green Fairfield, will now play at the Recreation Ground but will still continue under the successful managerial partnership of Lee Williams and Wayne Davies.
