Glenn Topping then dived over from short distance from a scrum for the third. The second half saw Spa produced there best handling of the season to score a further four tries.

The first was after a long kick into the corner enabled the spa forwards to steal line out ball and for Nick Godfrey to push over for a try.

The returning Ian Young then scored a further two tries after showing great speed and agility to crash over under the posts. Spartans were struggling to get out of their own half after great defence by Dan Wilkinson and Tom Richards was followed up by great rucking from Luke Topping.

The last try of the game came from Will Baillon who again showed great strength and determination to force his way through the visitors’ defences.
