JUNIORS from Bromsgrove and Redditch AC young athletes maintained their excellent run in the West Midlands Youth Athletes Cross Country League with a seventh place finish in Burbage Common.

Although the team did drop a place in the league overall, only eight points separate B&R and sixth-placed Birchfield, with the club poised for their best finish in years.

The U-15 Boys and Girls also impressed, finishing fifth and third respectively.

Both teams are in with a good chance of finishing in the top three for their age groups for 2014-15 season.

There were impressive debuts for Josh Robins (16th/U-11s), Maggie Parkinson (42nd/U-11) and Robert Palmer (16th/U-16).

Overall, the club are look good for a top-ten finish in most age groups which is a great all-round performance.

The final fixture is on February 15, at Perry Park by the Alexander Stadium.
